Compared to most other plastic hoses, NORRES polyurethane hoses (PURs) have the following distinctive features: less wear (~ 2.5-5 times longer use than rubber and 3-4 times longer than PVC), lightweight and flexible hoses, monitoring of suction and transport through transparent or semi-transparent hoses, highly resistant to mechanical, chemical, UV and weathering, flexible at low temperatures. However, polyurethanes are not all the same! Most NORRES hoses use a special mixture of ester polyurethane and ether polyurethane. The hoses made from this mixture are called Pre-PUR hoses.
