Winkel - even more freedom of movement in manufacturing

Winkel bearings are designed for linear applications with a combined high radial

and axial load.

The complete WINKEL innovative modular unit system from 10 kg up to 100 tons.

Advantages of the WINKEL Bearing system:

  • Reduces your designing and production costs
  • Can take up high radial and axial loads
  • Strong profiles for high stat. and dynamic loads
  • Best dispersion of forces in the profiles
  • Vulkollan and Polyamide versions for higher speed and quieter operation.
  • Longer lifetime for bearings and profiles
  • Economical assembling by welding bolt
  • Bearing components are easily exchangeable

WINKEL bearings (also called combined bearings) offer an economical solution for vertical and horizontal movements in handling machines and lift systems.

WINKEL Combined Bearings feature a radial load bearing with an integrated axial bearing to take axial loads and allow free movement of a construction without complicated bearing configurations. The original WINKEL components are a part of a construction system which permits simple and cost-saving linear motion designs from 10 kg up to 100 t made with WINKEL-Bearings, profiles, flange plates and other equipment. More than 95% of our components we deliver immediately from stock.

Additional welding, machining and coating works we do according to your drawings and are delivered ready to mount the components. For corrosion resistance, stainless steel rails and bearings are available ex-stock or alternatively specialist coatings can be applied to Winkel's standard components.

WINKEL linear axes providing more freedom of movement in production

Winkel GmbH designs and manufactures wide range of high-performance Linear and Multi-Axis Systems to a wide variety of Industrial Material Handling of all sorts.  Every System is  designed  and  built  to  match  application  requirements. Depending on position accuracy, a  variety  of  drives  are  available.  Multiple  drives  (heads)  can  be incorporated  on  a  single  axis  to  optimize  work  station  work flow.    For  instance,  additional  bridges  can  be  added  along  the length  (or  width)  depending  on  the  process.  Limit  or  proximity switches  are  standard  for  safety  control.  Design  coordination allow  adaptation to the  users  equipment. Any color  combination is possible for matching adjacent equipment.  All  are  pre-tested  and arrive arrive fully assembled (as far as shipping may allow) and include full  operations manuals.

Final  assembly  and  operation set  up  is available. CAD   or   3D   Design   templates  are   available   at   https://www.winkel-bearing.com/index/  to  help  the  design  process  get  started  (Select “Components”  then  “Inquiry  multi-axis  systems”).

Winkel offers effective lift systems for heavy load handling from 100 kg to 100 t. For example, the depalletizing stations to unload incoming goods. They consist of a lifting system with a particularly ergonomic workplace. The W-DP1-1500 series  allows free access from all sides: the employee can easily access the goods. Modular chain and belt lifters move palletized goods up in a particularly gentle and efficient manner. With a load capacity of 0.5 to 6 tons, they reach a lifting height of up to 40 meters. The lifting speed is a maximum of four meters per second.

The portfolio of Winkel also includes lifting and moving units that additionally move the goods horizontally. They are ideally suited for multi-shift operation and can be integrated into an existing conveyor technology.

WINKEL Systems encompass 4 basic categories: Vertical, Multi Axis Systems, Telescoping and Special Purpose Units. WINKEL units are robust and provide heavy duty linear motion for demanding material handling applications.

Numerous production and logistics processes rely on robots for greater efficiency. Robot axes are used when an industrial robot has to move linearly, for instance, along a production line to manage its task. Combined with one or two additional linear axes, the working space of a six-axis robot can be easily and effectively increased. Winkel offers a comprehensive product range with axes for all types of robots and makes. The robots can be erected standing, side or suspended, as well as mounted on a base or floor-bound. Depending on the axle type, their weight can be between 300 and 10,000 kilograms. On a longer travel axis, the user has the ability to move several robots independently of each other.

Winkel Telescopic systems are available in different designs, are robust, made for continuous use and require minimal, infrequent maintenance.

Tables with reinforced telescopic forks are used, for example, when large strokes or low deflection are required. For double-depth applications, Winkel offers a version with single or double drive. All  lift units are designed  with duplex  chain  or belts with safety devices. Suitable carriages, load frames, or special designed  attachments are available on request. Every  system can be designed to adapt to the user’s requirement.

Units available  in  Stainless  and for  loads to up to 4.5 tons.

Each unit is  provided with a complete service manual and delivered as assembled as shipping will allow. Units are designed to interface with system controllers.
